Paul Hopkin, IIRSM’s Chairman, was presented with the Freedom of the City of London in a ceremony held in the Chamberlain’s Court at the Guildhall, London on 11th March.  The status of the Freedom has been in existence since the 12th century and the ceremony is steeped in tradition.

After reading the Declaration, and signing the Declaration Book, Paul was presented with the framed parchment by the Clerk of the Court who was assisted by the Beadle. Members and Honorary members of IIRSM’s Board of Governors and the Prime Warden of the Glass Sellers Livery Company joined friends, family and colleagues in congratulating Paul on becoming a Freeman.
