Sypol - Technical Information Hotline - September 2006

We hope you know all about RISE, but
just in case you don’t, the acronym stands for the Recognition,
Information, Support and Enhancement that IIRSM strives to
provide for our members.
As part of the Enhancement of your
membership benefits, earlier this year IIRSM appointed Sypol,
one of the UK’s leading health, safety and environmental
specialists, as our technical helpline service, to provide
Support to IIRSM members. As a provider of a new service,
we knew that we would need to reassess and reevaluate Sypol.
Paul Hopkin, Chairman of IIRSM Board of Governors, and Zoë
Kavadas, Membership Manager, met with Karen Baxter, Managing
Director of Sypol and Sue Grimes at the end of September to
discuss how well the service had met the needs of our members.
At the meeting, Paul and Zoë were pleased to report that all was
well with the service. IIRSM has received glowing reports
from members and Sypol reported on how much they valued the
experience of providing the service to our members. This
was part of the reason IIRSM chose Sypol to provide this service
– we were keen to find a company with a similar ethos to ours.
In short, we wanted to make sure we provided a grade A service
to our members, and that our provider would enjoy the work it
entailed. We met the entire Sypol team at their head office, and
they enjoyed all the technical queries our membership could
throw at them! Keep it up - it's a two-way street!
